As a Business Mentor, Well-Being Consultant and Corporate Speaker, Beverley Jones brings to organisations her honest and truthful account of how following a thirty year highly successful corporate career, it all ended one sunny afternoon in June 2009. It was on this afternoon Beverley was told she was suffering from depression and severe anxiety bought on by a series of events in my life, she had in essence succumbed to a ‘Corporate Crash’ – Burnout!

Today she shares how from this she started her own business in 2010 with no contacts, no funds, no social media accounts and no network. At the time Beverley was travelling through a journey with her mental health but through it all she held steady and made it through to where she is today.

It is through her journey as a senior manager in large corporate companies that she help others with the health and well-being of their staff through the ‘Awaken Company Well-Being’ programmes. Through Beverley's journey as an entrepreneur she helps owners of smaller businesses set up and grow through my ‘Awaken Business Club’ – In both areas she is there to ensure that when the going gets tough you are part of a community she had e built to help you along the path.

Made it Thru the Rain

~ Beverley Jones

In this inspirational book of one woman's journey through depression, Beverley Jones leads you along her personal road to recovery and beyond, courageously demonstrating how an ordinary life can become extraordinary and how experience can indeed be the greatest gift.

At the age of thirteen I told my english teacher I was going to write a book, it took a while but I achieved my goal in 2012 when 'Made it Thru the Rain' was published.

In this my first published book I chronicle my journey through depression and onto recovery.

The Power of Hope

~ Kate Garraway

In March 2020, Kate Garraway's husband, Derek Draper, contracted Covid-19 and was placed in a medically-induced coma. Initially, Kate was told that he would not survive. A year later he was still in hospital. Now at home but requiring round-the-clock care, he is thought to be the UK's longest-fighting Covid-19 patient.

In this intimate book, Kate shares her deeply personal story. As well as recounting how the illness took hold of their lives, she writes about how she is coping with the uncertainty of their future, how she's supporting her children through this traumatic time, how she has found strength in community and how she strives to hold on to hope even at the darkest of times. Covid-19 has affected everyone across the country in so many ways and Kate hopes that by revealing her own personal experience, it will give comfort to others. By sharing the lessons she has learnt along the way, it will help us all begin to try to re-build our lives.

Kate's exceptional courage, positivity and warmth shine through on every page, making The Power of Hope a truly inspiring read that will resonate with all of us whose lives continue to be touched by the virus.
